Factors to consider when designing marine hoses
● Material: The material of the hose should have properties such as flame retardancy and corrosion resistance.
● Size: The hose size needs to adapt to the design parameters of the platform and vessel to ensure the safety and durability of the hose.
● Burst pressure: single carcass hoses can withstand 5 times the rated working pressure. The primary carcass of double carcass hose can withstand 5 times the rated working pressure, and the secondary carcass can withstand 2 times the rated working pressure.
● Temperature: fluid temperature -20°C to 82°C; ambient temperature -29°C to 52°C.
● Electrical continuity: electrically continuous or discontinuous as required
● Bend Radius: The bend radius of the hose in the application should not exceed the MBR recommended by the manufacturer.
● Operation and maintenance: The operation and maintenance of the hose should comply with international navigation standards, also the regular inspection and maintenance are required to ensure the stability and safety of the hose.
